Chapter 7:

Being criticized and bullied mostly happens in your youth. By the time you get older its more unlikely for people to judge you, especially if you keep a low profile. Jesus tells us in this chapter, not to judge others, especially when we are the one’s who have a log in our eyes rather than a speck our neighbor has Matthew 7:3. It’s easy to compare others in certain areas. Say you are really good at painting murals and you kind of know it, but someone, who is just starting to learn, who really enjoys that activity deeply, isn’t so great at it. They are sloppy to paint and the colors don’t really go together. Does talking about the art work in a negative way, benefit us? If the art work was astounding, then does it benefit us? In both scenarios we can see that it shouldn’t have any effect towards us. the only thing it could affect us is, in how we view the person and what he is doing. And if we work harder to judge than love, well we can risk the chance of contaminating our own selfs with envy and hate. “Not everyone who says to me, Lord , Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 7:21. Jesus did not call us to waste our time and effort worrying about others. If not we are called to everyday be more like Christ. The more we read and meditate in his word, the more we become strong like those trees that produce many fruit. Just be patient and with time you will see all the hard work you put into following Christ.
