Chapter 4:
“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7. There is a saying that goes “ One persons sin, is another’s salvation.” The enemy knows exactly what it is your fall for; what truly leads you away from God. Someone can be drinking in front of you, which their choose leads them into their fate yet, you on the other hand despise the smell of alcohol (Not losing your salvation) when they are. The devil tempted Jesus with 3 things. Life, Faith and Glory. Why didn’t he tempt him with something else? I believe it is because Satan knew who Jesus was and what he could do. Just how he knows you and I. Which is not something you should be afraid of, if not prepared for when the mental battles come. Putting on the helmet of salvation Ephesians 6:17 protecting our thoughts from the enemies whispers by shedding our old selves, learning scripture and identity in Christ, and listening to worship music. We are aware that some sins are harder to stop than others. Nobody in this world is perfect. Temptations are constantly more abundant than talks of salvation. Not too many people try to help save your soul. Jesus wanted us to learn that everyone has the opportunity to sin, its only up to you wether you want to fight with the word of God and flee or summit to your own fleshy desires.
